Standard Terms and Exclusions

1. Sandblasted glass requires special handling (Handling Instructions) (Cleaning Instructions).
   
   
2. Tempered and wire glass can be sandblasted. (Note: As it is known to Milestone, it is undetermined whether or not or to what extent strength, firecode or safety issues are compromised by the blasting and sealing procedures and materials.) I request that you forward to Milestone any industry information regarding these particular or related issues that you might come across in your professional associations and contacts.
   
   
3. Annealed glass can be depth carved.
   
   
4. Tempered glass can not be depth carved.
   
   
5. Tempered glass can not be "Pebble Finished" (extreme, heavy etch).
   
   
6. Pebbled finished glass can not be tempered.
   
   
7. Tempered glass is always blasted on the non logo side, unless specified otherwise.
   
   
8. Glass is always blasted on the front or face as drawn.
   
   
9. Mirrors and signs are often blasted on the back, in reverse or mirror image.
   
   
10. If glass is handed, the front must be clearly stated or shown on your paperwork and blast side designated. Please mail or Fax sketches prior to receipt of glass.
    
    
11. If glass has polished edges, they will be masked at extra cost.
    
    
12. Milestone recommends a sealer coating on all glass.
    
    
13. There are two kinds of sealer coatings: spray on and wipe on.
    A. Spray on coating is dry to handle and ship in 2 to 6 hours, weather permitting. It is recommended for interior use.
    B. Wipe on coating is ready to handle in minutes and can be reapplied at any time. It can be used indoors and outdoors. Customers can purchase it in 4oz. bottles.
    
    
14. Glass with carving, logo's, copy, artwork, or designs must be quoted by Doug.
    
    
15. Generally, you should require your customer to furnish the "Camera Ready Artwork" or usable P.C. disc for your job(s) with art work.
    
    
16. Patterns can be made from books, magazines, business cards, greeting cards, etc. at additional cost. T & M at $131.00 per hour.
    
    
17. Design work or layout calculations are extra cost at $131.00 per hour.
    
    
18. Small jobs usually will be ready within 48 hours. Rush jobs can be done depending on schedule. Small jobs without coatings can be done faster.
    
    
19. Shop standard etch is "fine grit". Heavier textures are available, extra cost is involved. Call Doug. Samples of standard etch are free. Custom samples will be made for your special needs at cost of time, material, shipping.
    
    
20. Custom holes can be blasted in glass (non tempered).
    
    
21. Plastic can be blasted (Acrylic, Lexan, etc).
    
    
22. Do not install any glass that has been improperly blasted or finished.
    
    
23. Milestone takes every reasonable care and precaution to protect your product. While your glass is in my possession, Milestone assumes no responsibility for damage or breakage, etc.
    
    
24. Fees for storage will be charged on glass left longer than the agreed will call date. (.50 per square foot per month, pro-rated.)
    
    
25. Glass is quoted for will call and to come from you or your supplier, "loose lite". Extra charges will apply for uncrating and re-crating , tying and untying at significant extra cost. Wrapping glass in paper is extra cost.
    
    
26. On larger sized orders, glass buttons must be on Logo or non-blasted side of glass. No cork buttons are acceptable. Use rebound or felt type of pads. Your order can be rejected or extra charges will apply for glass improperly protected.
    
    
27. Do not use Lucor-n (spec. pac.) on any glass.
    
    
28. Glass must be delivered clean and dry.
    
    
29. Sandblasted glass should not be transported in wet, humid conditions.
    
    
30. Price quotes are good for 30 days unless specified otherwise.
    
    
31. Shop rate is $131.00 per hour.
    
    
32. Standard terms:
    New Customers - cash in advance or C.O.D.
    Regular Customers - 4% C.O.D. - 2% 10 - Net 30
    late charges 1 1/2% per month over 30 days.
    Custom or special jobs, 50% deposit or cash in advance.
    
    
33. Shipping and delivery are not included in quotation, all orders are for will call unless specifically written otherwise on quotation sheet.
    
    
34. Preliminary information to be sent for all jobs over $1000.00.
    
    
35. Milestone will not take jobs with liquidated damage liabilities. All quotes are null and void if any type of penalty clause is attached or will be attached.
    
    
36. Milestone assumes no responsibility for damage to your glass after leaving our facility. Damage may occur from weather, rain, humidity, finger printing, sun, rough treatment, residue from vinyl gaskets, cleaning agents, scouring pads, improper handling, suction cups, razor blades, scrapers, squeegees and other things.
    
    
37. Purchase orders or contracts must include mention or reference to quotation number and these standard guidlines, exclusions and terms.
    
    
38. Should a job be cancelled, you will be responsible for costs incurred for work in progress, work completed, packaging, handling, shipping and disposal and other associated expenses.
    
    
39. Milestone assumes no responsibility for sandblasted and seal coated products used outside of their customary intended function.
    
    
40. Sealer coatings and alterations to products from the sandblasting process, are not U.L. approved. Milestone assumes no responsibility or any liability for products used in an improper manner.
